Learning Math Is So Sweet

The 6/7 Math group created Battenberg Cakes 

to visualize the construct of 

multiplication with negative integers.  

It was a sweet lesson!

8th graders have requested a lounge.

They are starting to envision how to make this space their own. 

Student Council, Student Ambassadors, and Flames of Service were installed at the Student Leadership Mass on Friday. (More pictures will be in this space next week.)

 The GAGA pit has made its debut, and just like that, recess is even better! 

Middle schoolers are loving their new math teachers 

with the robust team of Mr. O’Sullivan, Dr. Nelson, Mrs. Deluca, and Mrs. Zwilling. 

Prepositions are a whole mood in 7th grade.

All looks friendly, but there was a heated debated in Spanish class.

 

Vocabulary words are brought to life in 8th grade.

Fifth graders share intentions out loud and in their hearts. 

 

On Monday of next week week we will have a culminating celebration 

of Hispanic Heritage Month for the whole school.

Welcome Back!

 Welcome Back, Middle School!

It is thrilling to be back in school together. 

Something about this year feels electric already. 

We hit the ground running with Student Council elections in the Middle School. 

Here are seventh graders giving their class speeches. 

...and the half time show they insisted on, 

which consisted of a class-wide karaoke performance 

of an unknown song and unfathomable energy level. 

At the end of the day, they held hands in a circle and received the results together. 

This class is brave, clever, animated, and tight as could be. 

Congratulations to everyone who ran. 

Putting yourself out there is no easy task, 

and you did so beautifully.
