Prayer, Spring Musical, and St. Patrick's Day, oh my!

The 5th grade is currently studying the Sacrament of Eucharist and the Catholic belief that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. A common practice among Catholics is to adore Jesus through Eucharistic Adoration. In this practice, the Eucharist is placed in a beautiful holder called a monstrance and visitors are able to spend time with Jesus through prayer and silence.

Last week, students walked to St. Andrew's Catholic Church to observe and participate in this practice. Students sat in the pews of the Church and observed their surroundings. They took note of what they saw, heard, and felt during the experience.

This week, many Middle School students were busy with their preparations for the Spring Musical, A Disney Spectacular. They had a dress rehearsal with the whole school on Thursday. They had a wonderful performance and it looks like they had fun too!

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Student Council members made festive Shamrock Shakes for the whole school!
